 who is sarah? (she/her)

Sarah Berneche, MA, RHN, CIEC is an anti-diet Registered Holistic Nutritionist® and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor based out of Toronto. She teaches women how to find food freedom and develop a more positive body image through intuitive eating, mindfulness/self-compassion, self-care, and body image work. She takes a social justice-oriented and intersectional feminist approach to nutrition, perceiving diet culture as inherently oppressive. Sarah will never tell you what to eat. Rather, she’ll collaborate with you to enhance physical health, improve psychological well-being, and develop body trust through a nourishing relationship with food.

Her nutrition practice is rooted in a Health at Every Size
® framework, which means she’ll help you to improve your health through habits and behaviours, but never through dieting or the intentional pursuit of weight loss. New to HAES? Click here for a more thorough explanation.

I'm interested in having Sarah speak on intuitive eating and ED recovery.

I met with Sarah at one of the lowest points in my life, when I really needed someone to connect with. She showed me that I could change my relationship with my body and myself, even after over 30 years of dieting and body shaming. Sarah was part nutritionist, part therapist, and part friend. She is knowledgeable, kind, and always made me feel comfortable discussing things I had never shared before. She gave me a newfound hope.
